This is what I got for posting these!!
Never heard of a sportsman killing two fawns still suckling their moma and bragging about it. That's Middletown Elem. School type conduct!!! This is what gives real hunters a bad image!

not my style of hunting but if your happy with them then that's all that matters. as long as your within what the law says I don't have a problem. but just a warning you may not catch any beef on here but just be prepared outside this site you'll probably hear some things said. its just how it goes now days, no matter how small or how big the deer is someone always feel the need to say something. but if your happy then thats all that matters.

You wanted a comment so here goes...
If someone is having a bad season, wants the meat, and hasn't had any opportunity to kill any deer and those 2 deer walked by... boom! If they've already made a couple of kills then I don't really see the point. I've killed and eaten very young deer and they are tender....all 4 bites. I'll opt for more meat for my effort. If it makes you happy one way or the other, grin on brother.

No buttons. Thanks for the comments and I'm grinning like a possum. First time in years I've got meat in the freezer

I don't understand the original post. Comments wanted about what? Are you saying that someone on another site commented negatively about your picture? You didn't use quotes and you didn't mention what site the comment was on, so it's confusing.

Yes someone made the comment that ( this is what gives hunters bad name) second lines of original post. Sorry about confusion. Still learning

Drama queens that say "killing young deer give hunters a bad name" are the actual problem simply by spreading the misinformation that somehow killing a younger deer is "bad"
When it has no merit by saying so and actually shows they know very little about hunting if they believe something as killing one or five are some kind of threat to the herd.
Now many of us may not do it but that is a personal choice and you hunt for "you"
Kill away as long as you have use for the meat.
Not everyone can kill a deer no matter what size.
Here on this site everyone that hasn't will by simply learning from the rest of us.
Have fun and dont worry about what the negative people have to say.
A Double kill is a good accomplishment too.

Shoot on brother. I'd probably be called all kinds of bad names if people knew how many of those my brother and I have killed this year. If you're gonna kill a doe and have a choice, why not shoot the one that tastes the best on the table?? Congrats on the kills!

My wife is getting accustomed to eating deer meat. She likes some of my cooking types better than others.

At the beginning of this season, she told me not to be killing any young deer. A member on our lease killed a button buck and didn't want it because it had a couple of skin lesions (sarcoids). I told him the meat would be fine, but he was adamant about not using it so he gave it to me.

I grilled the backstraps and my wife told me it was the best deer she'd ever had and I should get more like that. I gave her no information about the deer's age or the sarcoids....:)

It's your time money and effort , if it makes you glad I am glad for you . I put certain restrictions on my self when hunting but I in no way try to hold others up to my personal standards . It's just plain dumb for some one to say something like that.

That's funny right there, I don't care who you are (said in my best Towmater voice)! My wife cooks and eats venison just fine, but I didn't eat much of it growing up because my mom wouldn't eat it... Unless you snuck it into some chili or something. But when she found out it was not good times. Of course, we didn't have to worry about that too much because my dad didn't take us hunting very often and wasn't exactly a good hunter, so...

Hey man don't let those types bother you. Getting out in nature, having fun, learning about what goes on in the woods, teaching others and if your lucky putting some meat in the freezer. Truth be known, most of those trash talking are probably the same ones that usaually lack the skills to take an animal, oh excuse me, "waiting on a shooter". So let it in one ear and out the other.
