Between NIL, the transfer of players, the ridiculous pay packages for coaches and them also jumping to leave to coach a rival, the playoff system making conference championships meaningless or even undesirable to play for…. it's not a game anymore, it's an ugly greedy business that is even worse than the NFL. I think this'll be my last season of paying any attention to it.

Hate to say it, but.......

I feel the same. I never resigned up with youtube tv after november hit.

Having been born and raised in this area it's been interesting to see the dichotomy that sprang up as NIL gained legs over the past couple seasons. But the die hard orange bleeders have a history of not seeing the possible negatives until its too late. And what UT football wants it gets most times.

I've always preferred watching the best players so I prefer Pro Football. Now we have a minor league.
I'm also a capitalist, therefore I believe all people ( coaches & players ) should have the right to sell their labor to whoever they choose , whenever they choose.

So Ty Simpson could and should have been able to play for Auburn last night in the second and fourth quarters if both parties agreed on a price? And that would have been ok? Money isn't everything and it makes for bad football.

Gave it up many moons ago. NFL, Collegiate......one and the same.👎

Depends on Ty's contract.
You are right about money making for bad football….Tide vs La-Monroe 73-0 money game was super exciting.

It has definitely shifted the dynamics of the game. I am not a fan of this new age college football. I miss the days of old. I have never cared too much for the NFL for the same reasons I am not liking college as much these days.

But when Saban said this was coming everyone (UT fans especially) said he was just scared. You said in another post that UT has the money and facilities to be a first rate team. Now you don't like any of it. The gloating when Bama lost to Vandy has come full circle.

That's true, UT has the means to play the game as it is, trouble is as it is ain't good! Say that 3 times!🤣

I was there at Neyland yesterday and besides the stuff I listed, all the lights, fireworks, rap music and " Club Sterl" all that BS. The football part is just a ring in a gaudy 3 ring circus. Maybe that's what's wanted now but IMO it just takes away from the game.

I know when NIL came, it would be the death of college football. To me itbstarted when Christian McCaffrey sat out his senior bowl game to not risk injury. If you srent in playoffs, bowls are meaningless. Players running to the highest bidders and its even worse than nfl because their all teams have the same cap. Im glad i got to watch real college football as a kid on my parent living floor in the 1980s with Keith Jackson on the mike and John Elway slinging it for Stanford and Bo jackson running it for Auburn

This rap music has to go. Its just racket….nobody can like it. My son played in a preseason Christmas basketball tournament last week at a little country school and that stuff was ringing so loudly it made me nauseous

You should have seen it in the '60's and '70's, nothing like today's spoiled brats.
