Truck showed 43 when I got out of it this morning. I think this is the coldest day I've ever hunted in September. I picked a good couple days to take vacation with the weather.

Between 2 of us we seen 22 deer yesterday. Flying solo this morning and haven't seen anything yet. Just happy to be here regardless.

This time of the year 40 degrees is pretty cold! Haven't seen any activity on cams this morning. Bet they are waiting for the sun to come up :)

I'd be lying to you if I told you I wasn't cold right now lol. This time of year when it goes from cool mornings to warm afternoons I freeze for a while til I get acclimated 🥶🤣

It was difficult heading to work this morning, the cool temps definitely have me distracted from work. The first opening week I have hunted in about 3 years, actually feels like hunting weather! Best of luck to everyone, stay safe.

Supposed to be even cooler tomorrow. Hunted yesterday so gonna give the spot a rest day and hit it tomorrow

Wow, I don't know what our low this morning was but, when I got off work last night at 10:30, it was 48.

I remember mid to upper 30's one bow opener and that first week. It would have been in 2000 or 2001 as I was in trade school and off for two weeks. Those were awesome days!

Does anyone remember the unseasonably cool temps the first year they did the velvet hunt in August a few years back? It was 53 degrees on an August morning. Deer were on their feet moving and I got a Buck.

Hunted this morning until 10. A doe and fawn is all that came by.
I didn't wear enough cloths, got pretty chilly.

It was 40 when I left the truck this morning in Meigs County.
I seen six bucks, three were 8 pointers and two were 6 points.
I missed and 8 and shot a decent 6. Never did see a doe.

Great time to be in the woods
