I have a good stand of clover in a road bed that has established itself by being mowed. I would like to spray some of the grass and weeds out of it. Is now an ok time to spray? What should I spray? And what would be a good general fertilizer for it now?

You can spray it with gly. Use about 1.5 oz per gallon of water mix. I've sprayed plots with 2.5 oz. mix and killed everything but the clover, so you should have no problem. You could also just mow it down close, with cooler weather coming the competing weeds and grass won't really have a chance to get back up too good.

If you are going to spray with gly, be extremely careful with mixing rates. Glysophate WILL kill the clover if hit too hard. I would recommend spraying with a grass-killer (clethodim) and just mowing to hold down the broadleaf plants until they get killed by the first freeze.
