There is a state statute that allows landowners to destroy animals causing them damage. Big game animals require a depredation permit.
So, from the TWRA standpoint, you would be OK.
But, that statute may not be a get out of jail free card if shooing the air rifles violates local rules. You likely would win if you appealed any citations on up the court system, but, it could involve hiring a lawyer.
