Something that I was thinking about lately and havent seen anything on this forum posted yet:

What effects and how much of an effect will the cicadas have on a garden? Will they eat everything thats being produced? What percentage will they destroy, if they do come out "full-throttle" like their supposed to? Is there anything you can spray your veggies with that will deter them in any way?

What stovepipe said. Cicadas will not do anything to your garden except die and decompose, providing a bit of extra fertilizer. They feed in the nymph stage underground and do not do much feeding at all as adults and the only damage they do is cutting their eggs into twigs on trees.
