I've been catching them and chunking them in my pond. Bass hit them pretty quick as long as they are alive and fluttering.
Bet he does well. Keep us posted
He ended up catching a bunch of bluegill.

I fished yesterday morning and watched quite a few cicadas get slurped up from the surface while they were flapping around. Shouldn't take him long to start getting some action.

Bought a very shallow running square bill yesterday at Academy on impulse as it looked very much like a cicada, even right color. If nothing else figured the grandson would get a kick out of throwing it
