Chokes that say for lead only, is it safe to shoot tss thru them. Guess it's to late to ask because I have done it before

Generally speaking yes. The main reason for the LEAD ONLY STAMP is to not shoot steel through it due to how steel is to hard and works different in tighter chokes then lead (like a IC choke for lead acts as a MOD choke using steel)
