posted this in the turkey forum. figured this would be a good place to post it too.

Bought a TruGlo GobbleStopper Xtreme tube today for dad's SBE. Got it home, took it out of the box, and noticed that the ports arent smoothed down inside the bore. it looks like theyve been machined, but not down flush like I would expect. Ran a swab through it to see it i was just imagining it, and sure enough, the ports started pulling fibers off the swab. what gives? should i take it back? or is this normal? Im not real happy about it at the moment.

I am no expert at turkey chokes, but do know a fair amount about chokes from my clay shooting experience. Some manufacturers of chokes put alot of stock in "wad stripping" helping to tighten up patterns. The roughness you are talking about might be an attempt to strip the wad away from the shot column. I would shoot it b4 I got too upset.

thanks kimberman. i got to thinking about the wad stripping thing last night, was hoping that would be it. guess i'll find out when i shoot it tomorrow.
