I have not fished Chilhowee Lake since they drew it down for so long a few years ago. I can't find any information on TWRA website about trout stocking, etc. I used to catch a lot of trout up there this time of year, and at night later in the year. I used to do pretty good on smallmouth as welI. grew up in Blount County and moved away 28 years ago. I've lived all over the US, and now live about 2 hours away from home in Blount County. The last time I fished it was about 12 years ago. Caught a bunch of trout and some smallmouth at night on a few trips.

we fish it regularly for bass not trout but enjoy the lake very much

I started fishing Chilhowee a couple of years ago, and it is now my favorite spot. mainly because it doesn't tend to host all the pleasure boaters that the bigger lakes do. I have yet to catch any smallmouth there but I do catch largemouth every trip and last year i hooked into one that was every bit of 5 lbs.
