Done a little scouting today on some property I am going to finish out the season hunting. I enjoy hunting the bluffs in the mountains. I just may have to hunt this spot before the season ends. I did put a rope down the tree to have something to hold on to while walking up the tree. There is some good fresh sign on the flat below. If I kill one down there I'll need a helicopter to get him out.

I have found that setting down between rocks is a great method for hunting flats below. I primarily use a climber but my lease is on a side of a mountain and I've had luck hunting off the rocks.

I hope it's more solid than it looks ??Log looks like it has some rot . The top rock looks like it could go if you walk out on it. I'm sure I would be out on it. :)

The size of the tree and rock is deceiving. The log is actually a live tree that's growing on an angle, no rot at all.LOL.. Yeah it looks alittle sketchy in the pic. The top of the rock is probably 8'x8'. I sit there for a couple hours today and put a rope down the side of the rock down the tree to hold on to. As long as a earthquake doesn't hit while I'm on top of it I don't think its going anywhere.

On my place over in NW Ark we had on the White River we had several places like that. Rough place to hunt and hard to get too.
