Has anyone here been to the dam since the floods? I know they are still pushing lots of water through but curious about the ramps below the dam, if they are open, destroyed ect. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
 
I've been to the dam on the dickson side several times since the flood catfish are tearin it up there right now dont know if the ramps are open but i've been seein boats there hope this helps
 
ya me and the wife packed up the poles and the grill and drove all the way up there this last weekend only to find they are closed :mad: least they could do is say something on the website
but i guess they want you to burn gas and drive up there to find out.... :mad:

the only spot i have to go fishing and not get tick infestation is closed...man i sure do miss FLORIDA fishing...nothing i have seen here in tennessee can hold a candle to florida...but the fishing is about the only thing worth a dang down there

that seems to be a common thing with the fishing reports part of the T.W.R.A. Website. The region 1 part of the fishing reports hasn't been updated since May 13.
 
yep i did the same thing drove all the way out there ready to fish just to find that it was closed and i just wasted 3 hours driving for nothing!!!!!! You think that information would be out there...

They are saying the end of july before cheatam will be open again. The corps lady said they haven't recieved any money to clean it up yet. It would take 20 min. and a bobcat to clean the ramp off below the dam. They are running the lock on manual as of this past weekend, so no private boats are able to lock thru. There is a ramp on the dickson side with a 4" of mud on it, got stuck there sat. but 5 min. would fix that. I did manage to get to the damn by putting in montgomery co. and going up river to the damn, but sure did suck going back with 15-20 mph winds making it white cap.
 
I was there as well Saturday. Went to put in @ Old Ferry Rd. and was covered in mud, then went and put in above the dam only to fing out I couldn't lock through, then took out and put in @ Lock B and ran way up to the dam. Didn't have much luck, only a few small cat. Didn't see many people catching anything.
