Chasing yet???

Is anyone seeing the younger bucks chasing yet?? I saw a couple of spikes nudging around a young doe this weekend. Then they put on the full show. Ears back and hair standing straight up. Fought not spared for a few minutes then went their separate ways. We're in Putnam County and this is the first sign I've seen other than a few scrape lines starting to show up.

I've heard three separate accounts of chasing in the last three days. My dad sent me this one from two days ago.

Young bucks, yes. Saw one this morning chasing a doe on the way to work. Completely normal

This time of year I feel sorry for the poor does. They seem to get pestered to death by the young bucks.

Wife was telling me yesterday that she had seen a decent sized buck chase a doe across and back across a big field close to the house, finally chasing her off in an all out sprint. (Decent sized from my wife means bigger than a spike) [emoji1]
