well, after my annual trip, we found none. did find lots of good bass on the reservoir and trout and walleye in the tailwaters

Ouch. Wish I could have helped, but I've never made a single cast for crappie on that lake. I like to bass fish it in the winter & spring, but that's about it.

I know guys catch crappie up there and i even found an article about a guy named chris duraji that said he fished for them 60ft deep. I also saw a guy post on facebook that he had been targeting Shellcracker the last 2 weeks and had better luck 2 weeks ago and thinking they will fire up this weekend assuming no drastic weather changes

In the past some has been caught around Edgar Evans state park. A few crappie has been caught about 1/4 mile up stream from Hurricane bridge on the Smithville side . I haven't been on that lake this year maybe this will help.
