Looking for one. What is the best affordable one. Just need a little feedback some. I know nothing about them.

I've got a couple of the Spypoints and they do pretty good. I want to say they are about $99 for the camera and $100 per year for unlimited pictures. Very addictive. The first thing I do in the morning when the alarm goes off is check my pictures.

Ive been running 2 Browning wireless cameras since last fall and really like them but it's $300 a camera. Decided to try one of the new Tactacam Reveals and so far I think it's performed good for a $100 camera. I've only been running mine a month so I have no idea of battery life. You can change camera settings from the app but it takes up to 24 hours after turning camera on before they will show up on the app. Can start and stop service whenever you want. Like all others it sends a compressed pic to app that isn't as sharp or clear as what is saved to card. It comes in either Verizon or AT&T. The only problem I've had was when I first bought it, there was a problem with getting signal with Verizon. Think it took 2 days for them to fix it and no problems since.

I have 4 of these. I love cell cams, but I am not spending $3-400 per camera. They work well enough. when ON SALE they are $99. when not on sale they are $149.

Easy to use and set up, remember it is basically a cell phone, so from time to time you have to update the firmware.

You get 100 pics per month free. If put in the right spot (obscure trail) with little brush to cause the camera to trigger you can run it for free. If you put it in a high traffic area you need to buy a plan through them. depending on how you pay and how you want to use it depends on the monthly price (paying up front for the year is cheaper).

I had one break and they tried to help me trouble shoot it and when that didn't work, they sent me a new one. They are in Canada, but have some stuff run out of Iowa.

How often do you have to update? Being cellular they should just automatically do it

No. You have to do it manually. I may be wrong but I think that is how they all work.

You don't have to do it often

I've been running the tactacam for 5 weeks or so now. I'm impressed for 99 bucks. Bass pro in Kodak had them in stock yesterday. Verizon only though.

Can vouch for the Spypoint cams. App works well and so far battery life is pretty good.

Just make sure you set up scheduled pic transfers rather than "push". The camera constantly on the network will wear a battery down quick much like a cell phone.
