I live 100 mikes from my deer camp.,I cover my traps with a piece of plywood when I'm not there. Saves time when I go back. Have you ever tried that?
I only live a few miles from mine and i haven't tried covering that is a good idea though. I actually like resetting.
I set alot in bottoms and they are slow to dry out so i add wax dirt back when i remake as long as the creeks goes back down so i can access them

A first for me, caught by both front and back feet.

A fox is one thing I haven't seen in person or on camera in 5 or 6 years on my properties.

When I lived in Arkansas there was a den on the side of a small pond that they used a lot. Used to see them coming and going off the mountain to the den a lot.

This is my 3rd red at this spot....over 3" rain through last night and he was waiting for me this morning thanks to the peat if you keep hammering the yotes the fox will come back. Also a 19# coon I caught recently.View attachment 259788View attachment 259789.
Great catches! I haven't seen a fox on my place behind my house since we bought it 3 years ago. Not even a pic of one. I grew up just 1/8 mile down the road so know the area well. Historically there's always been a lot of coyotes here and the more I think of it I never even seen a fox growing up around here.

Drew a duck blind at a local WMA recently, and some dude had a cell cam watching an extremely rusty, sprung trap in the treeline. Seemed ingenious to be able to check traps remotely.
