I have a guy wanting to trade me his 1100 in good condition for my bow which I value at $550? I have no idea what an 1100 is worth. any help is appreciated.

it's choked. He said 7-10 yrs old. It's got a camo stock but blued barrel. it's also a magnum, shoots 3 1/2 shells.

Its not a 1100 if it shoots 3 1/2" shells. Its probably a 11-87. If it was wood/blued 3" model in great condition, I'd say your doing a good trade, but camo 11-87 super mag, you could probably do better. Not knocking the gun, just saying I personally would'nt cosider that an even trade. Depends on how bad you want a 3 1/2" auto-loader that is known for sub-par performance. The gun may function flawlessly, but the 3 1/2" 11-87 has not got the greatest reviews in the past, especially one that was produced in that time frame (early 2000's).

Something else to consider; if it is a "magnum", then it probably just shoots 3" shells, and it could be a 1100 model. If it shot 3.5" shells, then it is probably a 11-87 "super magnum" like rukiddin said.

These shotguns vary a lot in value, but an 1100 is probably not a $550 gun, and the 11-87 could be; but they vary a lot too.

Something else to think about, is that your $550 valued bow will be a $300 bow in just a few years, and the shotgun will stay the same or go up in value.
