Can I kill a turkey legally right now with my bow?

I am going to be hunting an area where I have tons of morning pics and I don't want to break the law.
 
During Fall Turkey season you can kill a turkey using archery equipment but the season doesn't open until Oct. 12th. You also need to check your county guidelines to see if in fact the county your hunting is one of the ones listed to harvest a fall turkey and how many?

Dang... I passed on two hens Thursday because I also thought it was opening on the 12th. Man I read the guide but it isn't very user friendly for a former Missouri guy. The dates and county stuff is much more confusing here. Dang! I could have had fried turkey breast for lunch Friday.

Dont worry you will see em again. plenty of fall turkey season left
