Does anyone effectively call squirrels. If so, what kind of Call do you prefer to use and what techniques do you use?

I have a Mr. squirrel call that I bought in 1984.. it makes a high pitch sound and you take a sapling and swish it around on the ground making a bunch of commotion. The first part of the season squirrels will be barking all over the place running up and down trees , Some even coming at you. No telling how many squirrels I have killed with it. It loses its effect after the babies get mature.

Mr Squirrel, also.
Makes the sound of a baby squirrel being attacked. If you combine it with a leafy branch swishing, that imitates the sound of hawk wings.
Makes the adults go nuts thinking one of their own is getting munched and they come out barking.
