Does TN have any caliber or mag limit restrictions for deer?

My son lives in Chatt and I may try to slip over that way and hunt with him this fall.

For the last several years I've hunted with an AR in either 6.8 or .308. I generally use 10 round mags but wondered if the mags limits were more restrictive.

I believe it is any center fire rifle cartridge. .223 is legal for sure. No mag limits except for hunting migratory birds.

As long as it is a center fire caliber I believe your good.

Any centerfire cartridge is legal. Even the 17 Hornet or 25 ACP are allowed for deer or bear, which seems crazy to me but they are trusting hunters to know what is reasonable and what is not. Unfortunately there are a lot of hunters who do not.
