Anybody know if there are any lake trout left in Calderwood Reservoir?

1998-40,796 lake trout stocked
2001-22,000 lake trout stocked

Thanks

I don't really know, but I don't see why there would not be. It stays cold enough to support them year round.

Sorry, I caught them all! :D
Do you mean that you didn't give the rest of us a chance? I'm for a one trout limit so I will have a better chance of catching one at Watts Bar!! LOL :D :D

the LAKE IS FULL OF TROUT...I HAVE NEVER CAUGHT A LAKE TROUT BUT I HAVE CAUGHT LOTS OF RAINBOWS AND BROWNS

I've never caught a Laker there but plenty of Bow's, Browns and even some Brookie's. Seems like that lake is all or nothing, your either catching a ton of fish or you can't buy a nibble! However, Slickrock creek usually fishe's well!

I've always wanted to take a trip out there and fish that lake. Are there big trout there in any abundance, or is it mostly large numbers of smaller fish?

you can catch some very nice trout there if you are fishing with roster tails or bait you are more likly to catch fish from 8 to 16 inches. fish with stick baits crank baits or spoons and you can catch larger fish.

Fly fishing is my thing, so I will probably be doing that if I go up there. If there are enough big trout to make it worthwhile, I'll throw big streamers on sinking lines. Otherwise I'll stick with smaller flies and target those 8 to 16 inchers.
