Is there such a place in east Tennessee. I was talking to a guy at Walmart this weekend said he took his boy up there to hunt. Supposed to be off edgemoore next to milton hill all I can find is the oak ridge wma.

It's not a wma. It's TVA public land. It's around 330 acres. It's on right beside the Claxton fire station at the end of blockhouse. There's a pretty good population of deer out there.

Thanks for the info, may drive out that way to see what it's like. That is just down the road from me and would save the 35-45 minute drive to north Cumberland

It's been good to me when I was lacking other properties to hunt. When you drive out there it'll be the two yellow pipe gates on the side of the river. Get on the property viewer to see the exact amount of area. There is a little bit of everything out there.

Like RR mentioned, it's TVA land close to Jake Butcher's old house. Quite a bit of fields. Most of the deer are actually down towards the train trussel. Killed a couple down that way. Unless something has happened that area also has a bunch of poison ivy.

njthompson, do you in Anderson Co? I live by AC in Hunters Trail.
