Picked up some bullets the other day but can't find any info on them. They are Barnes bullets 75gr in 6mm. X bullets. But researching the number on the box got me nowhere. I'm thinking they're obsolete and mainly for varmints but I thought the x bullet was better built bullet. Any hep would be appreciated

Barnes has a few varmint bullets, but none of the x bullets are varmint bullets that I know of. Do these have the relief cut rings on the shank?

this is what's inside. I bought the bullets cheap enough that I don't really care what they turn out to be. I've got others I'll deer hunt with anyway. I did find a date on the box. 7/20/98. Guessing they're obsolete and an email as suggested is what I'll do.

i'd say those are some of the original X bullets since they don't have a groove. If it were me, I'd start my load 10% under the Max pressure for the same weight TSX current production bullet and load up till pressure signs told me to stop as normal. Hopefully they won't be too accurate because that would be a shame to find an exceptional load for a no longer available bullet!

Best that I can tell you guys are correct. These are originals. The closest I can get now is either a 72gr variety or an 80gr. I'll probably just put them up for a rainy day since I have tons of other bullets at the moment. If I load them for my daughter I won't even fool with load development. Do kinda wish I had 100 of them to play with tho lol
