I have a deer on trail cam. Probably 3.5 if I were to guess. He looks to be an 8 pt that would score mid-120's to 130...that is if he had both sides equal. His right side is a large spike, while the other is just a nice clean 4 pt. I have heard this is due to injury, but I wonder if I should shoot this deer if given the chance or will he be back to normal next year?

Odds are, he will never be back to normal. Sounds like a pedicle injury, which only gets worse over time and never heals. Now he isn't producing more spike-on-one-side offspring (because it is not genetic), but he is most likely never going to grow a normal antler on that one side.
