Sold/Expired Browning BAR 22 semi auto .22lr

Decided to sell one of my safe queens. I inherited this from my father in law, it hasn't been shot in at least 30 years. It is in excellent condition, at least 98%. These were made from 1977 to 1985, I think this one was made in '77 or '78 (I am not in front of it right now to verify serial number). Beautifully made, it exudes quality. No cheap plastic on this beauty. It is a Grade 1 model. No box, just the rifle. Located in Germantown, just outside of Memphis. I don't want to ship this. $900. Most decent 22 auto loaders cost 1/2 to 2/3rds this amount but have zero soul or collector's value, just a tool. This rifle is one you want to pass down to your kids and grandkids, it is a true collector's piece

It is not drilled and tapped. It does have the dovetail on top of the receiver for rimfire rings to attach to so mounting a scope is not a problem. The rear sight even flips down to get out of the scope's way without having to remove (and eventually lose) it!

Beautiful gun, i have one just like this one but in a 22 mag.

I have a Browning BPR (pump rifle) in 22 mag. It is almost in as good condition as this BAR, but not quite. I could possibly be talked into making a deal for both of them, that would be a heck of a collection for someone.

I got out my BPR 22 mag and played with it tonight. I am not ready to let this one go right now so this previous possible combo is off the table.

It's really just too nice for what I want. I need a 10-22 to put a nice scope on and plink with. Looks like Fairchaser is going to remove the temptation.
