Broad head question

I shot my bow with my mechanical broadheads.They shot just fine but they didn't open.Is this normal with the block type targets?They are the stringer from Wal-mart.
 
My guess is they opened. When you pull them out the rubber band will roll forward and close the head back up. The newer mechs are much better than a decade ago or more when they had their problems. I have used a few of the NAP mechanicals and never had a problem with them.
 
Tape a piece of paper on both sides of the target . That way you can tell if the blades actually open or are closing after the quick deceleration after penetrating the target . The arrow stops from the friction of the target , and the blades will close up after penetrating through and stopping suddenly .

Takem back n get urself some nap spitfires or rage theyre both pretty awesome n fly like field points. didnt have 2 make a single adjustment with either one.
