The Almost 30 ("Turdy") Point Buck (27 scoreable points)

12-yr-old was just visiting aunt and went deer hunting with step-father on aunt's farm where he killed a "turdy point buck".

Humphreys County, Tennessee and Wadena County, Minnesota - same difference give or take about 1000 miles.

When that song first came out many years ago, it was a tounge in cheek slam at the Yuppers in MI. I was driving the first time I hear it and about wrecked I was laughing so hard.

Going to have to come up with a little more proof than that for me to believe it is from cherry bottoms. I live here, and the only thing I've heard of a big deer, was a deer that weighed 300 lbs in that area, and it took 4 people to load. This said it did weigh 227 field dressed so maybe?.. If so, that should make our county record! Congrats to the young man either way!!

Just read the details of the video, definately not in Cherry Bottoms of Tn. Unless we have a town named Sebeka 8 miles to our NE!! Someone must be trying to give BSK a heart attack with this joke I guess!

They do grow big in those bottoms.

And for anyone wondering, there really was supposedly a "monster" buck taken this year in the Cherry bottoms (Humphreys County), and the 12-yr-old boy really did take that monster 27-pt buck depicted in this thread on the video clip.

Yep I saw that very deer a couple times down there, just could never get a good shot! He was running with one a lil bigger than he was! :grin: Right down the river from BSK's place! ;)
