I know when you hunt near folks homes that you need to be a 100 yards away. How about bowfishing? Setting aside reckless endangerment, can I just shoot anywhere on public waters? (dam exceptions I understand). I just got into bowfishing and there doesn't seem to be much restriction, but since it is kinda hunting and kinda fishing I just want to be certain. BTW the mayfly hatch has brought hundreds of rough fish to the surface of the lakes-great time to learn to bowfish! :)

It is fishing and not hunting, so, I wouldn't think the 100 yd part applies. But, to keep the complaints down if you are doing it at night with lights, it would likely be best to keep some distance. Give your regional LE folks a call to discuss distance from locks and dams if you are shooting in those areas.
