I read all the time about my gear is better than yours. It is very upsetting at times to think that bow hunters have turned to experts in sometimes as little as a season. I have gear that is for me and I do not press it on anyone else. I will NOT claim slick tricks are the greatest bh in the world nor will I claim the latest Flavor of the month to be all the rage(pun intended). Many promote their gear as it is an identity of who they are. To me it is stuff to get the job done. Of course I am passionate about what I hunt with(gear) and enjoy every minute of it.

When I am in our hunting camp(lease) it is about hunting , it is about fellowship and it is about heritage. I often wonder why more people do not seek that out in hunting. Maybe, just maybe we are not on the right track. We use a website as a platform to communicate. It is bothersome to me. I use it for fun and to learn not as a sound board of beliefs or a method of persuasion on how good my gear is. I crave knowledge not to impress but to hone my craft as a hunter gatherer. My methods, knowledge is available for anyone that asks and I will help any and everyone out in any way I can but God stop me when I become to the point of all knowing.

Everyone's equipment is in the eye of the beholder and bowhunting in general is a very individual sport.Agree with your post there richmanbarbeque.

I'm with you Richman. Most of the time, I don't even mention what bow I shoot, etc. Tell folks to shoot a bunch and find out what fits em. About the only thing I'm opinionated on is Rage broadheads. Some folks love them, but I feel that there are quality broadheads on the market today for less money.

Good post. This whole keeping up with jones's crap gets on my nerves. Every hunter has different techniques and different methods and use different products for every aspect of hunting. Heck there are some days all I take to the stand is my tag, bow, release, and cell phone. What matters is that a hunter leaves the woods successful, and only he/she can define success.

I agree but isnt it fun to play with the new trinkets and tsalk about the funny stuff like the butt out or the cruncher?
