I stopped at a pawn shop here in memphis looking for a h&r 999,none there and i began telling the owner of the pawn shop that i really wanted a ruger single six to plink with and throw in the backpack while camping and hunting and not to mention shooting those big a$$ moccasins at tunica cut off, so he starts looking on the computer and i was just about to walk out and i hear"boy do i have a deal for you" im thinking hes fixen to try and sell me something i really dont want.he goes in the back and comes back with very large ruger soft case, i unzip and there sits a mint condition single six in a cowboy holster, then i notice a small red bag and i open it and its the 22 wmr cylinder
And then i pop the question.... How much? And he replies 225
Out the door!! Sold!!!!!!!! It has the adjustable sights 6 in barrel and looks to have very low round count in either cylinder.i took it straight to the gunsmith to be checked over, when i get it back ill post some pics of this little jewell!!!

In my opinion a Ruger Single Six is the best single action revolver made. I used to shoot small bore silhouette matches with one.

Serial number starts with 68- so i found it was made in 1981

Dude u stole it. They were asking $475.00 at the memphis gun show. i know that sounds crazy but i saw two of them for that price. I payed exactly $229 for mine 15 years ago.

Dang,im glad i jumped on this one, never really even looked at them new
I actually went in there looking for a h&r 999 like my dad use to have!!

I put about 250 rounds through it this evening with no problems what so ever other than the fact im use to large frame revolvers and auto's hit where i aimed almost every time at about 15 yards,i need to practice practice practice!!! Overall im very pleased with the quality and accuracy of this little plinker

Yeah i made a big mistake when i got home with the new single six.....let the wife shoot it!!!! Now she says its hers, guess ill be looking for another one, maybe ill get lucky and find her a bearcat,if not ill just give her this one and ill go purchase a single six in stainless and use the excuse "well you took mine" thats reason enough for me now that i have shot one.probabally wont get another deal like this on one though.
