They are matched to the gun they are in. That being said yes you can swap them but may not get the accuracy you should and may wear in places. I not long ago had to have a bolt replaced on a 700 it was matched to the action.

no do not do this,,if the headspace is not in spec you could have drastic case failure and a face full of 60,000 psi 8,000 degree gases,,why would you want to do this..

Mr. Big is 100% right! Theoretically you can swap them and they will most likely fire, but any given bolt/action/barrel combo is a matched set that has been checked for proper headspace by the gun manufacturer. If you swap out any of those 3 pieces, without re-checking and adjusting headspace as needed, you could end up with a case head separation. As Mr. Big said, 60,000psi gas is nothing to take a chance with. Keep the bolt in the rifle it came with.

Yes, when I read the first post all I could think was oh oh someone is gonna get hurt or dead.

I saw a picture of a Kimber 22LR pistol that somwhow went into battery with the round only partially chambered. The escaping gas cut cold steel. 22LR. Ruined the pistol. The damage was amazing and all from a miserable 22LR. A big centerfire? Yeah, you could die. Easy.
