I found these in some of my dad's hunting stuff. He said he was going to learn how to use it but never did. He said he bought them used from a guy who only shot aluminum arrows. Will they work on carbons? One says left on the clamp I assume it's for a left helix. Are they worth anything?

I use that model on carbons and have for a while. As long as you have a small bead of glue the whole vane and it presses it evenly along the shaft, you could fletch wooden dowels. Mine is red, but it's the same piece of equip. I have a straight clamp and right clamp. They say if you shoot right handed to use a right helix. I've also heard that a left helix spins counterclockwise and will unscrew your broad head or field tip when it hits the target. TBH not sure just how valid that is. I have to tighten mine after a few shots spinning clockwise.

You're good to go with those. They're anywhere from $60-80 for the whole shebang and $25-30 for an extra clamp. You have two whole shebangs. LOL!
