got a can and went to the range and shot a few rounds with it and so far I am impressed.
talk about easy clean up and no more problems with the crud ring as with the triple 7 i have been shooting.
i am going back to shoot some more this weekend to really try to settle in for accuracy .
you guys shoud try a bottle even though it is expensive but about the same cost as 777 pellets at regular price.

Saw some at BPS last night but at 35$ it will be a good while before I try it,will at some point though.

What about the amount of "Smoke" compared to the 777.

cool link wish it could be used in sidelockers but it cant according to the link ..............

Saw that myself " not suitable for sidelockers" and Not to use # # 11 and Musket Caps" "Rifle or Pistol Primers" or mild 209's like the "Rem Klennbore ML,Win 777 ML,CCI MZL and Federal Fusion 209 ML"

Disclaimer...NOT SAYING ANY ONE SHOULD Or CAN.....below...

The Question is Why one couldn't use it in side locker with one of the old 209 nipples in place??

I remember those nipples for both 209's and Small Rifle/Pistol primers being around being back before the in-lines became the rage, don't know if ther out there or not.

And I wonder what the BP Cartridge guys are going to use with it?

tiny it smokes but not as much as 777.
i cant see a reason not to be able to use it in a sidelock eith 209 ignition but then i dont know.
i have the 25 acp system on my encore but with using bh 209 i get a very slight hangfire and i will be putting the factory breechplug back in. takes standard 209 primer and recommended not to use the milder muzzleloading 209 primers.

Not to high-jack your post Sawdust but on the same note I tried for the 1st time the American Pioneer fffg with my 44 bp pistol. 18 rounds no stiffness, even kind of oily on the hammer. It took me 2 minutes at the sink with hot water and I was done cleaning. This stuff is nice. I'm used to pyrodex.

sky i also tryed the ap powder and yes it was a lot cleaner than 777 but 3 of us shot it and in our guns accuracy sucked big time. go figure.

Yea thanks for the follow up Sawdust. I don't know if it is very accurate, but it sure was clean. I was just shooting free style in the woods.
It's a new Pistol for me (Thanks to Smokin)and I have not been able to bench shoot it yet.

i shot the bh209 again this weekend with great results.i believe i could shoot 1" or a little better most all day long with it and the shockwave 250's.
at 31.00 per bottle it may be to high for some folks but if u dont want to worry about corrossion and want a cleaner gun shot for shot try some.
now to bring out the chronograph to check velocities.

I have this powder a little bit in my knight rifles. The barrel doesn't get very dirty. Cleaned up quickly with hoppes # 9. Breech plug was also easy to clean and remove from the barrel. There was some carbon deposit in the fire channel of the plug I removed with a hand turned drill bit. My concern is a ring of carbon in the receiver area in front of the nipple end of the breech plug. I can't seem to get it off the gun. I've scrubbed with fine steel wool and Hoppes, but only a little came loose. I'm using the full plastic jacket with Winchester 209 primers. Getting instant ignition. I have not shot it for accuracy yet. I put in a call to Western Powders about the carbon. I like most everything about it so far but not the carbon ring. I like to keep my ML spotless. Any one else seen this problem? On another forum, some guys stated that they had the same problem.
