Is there a difference between the regular winchestrer 209 primers and the ones that have 777 on the box? Are the 777 not as hot or what?

The 777 primers are designed to reduce the crud ring when using Triple 7 pellets or powder. The standard Winchester 209 primers, 209A, will ignite 777 but may push the load up the barrel and complete powder ignition may be hit or miss. Use the 777 primer for 777 powders and the regular Winchester 209A primers for Blackhorn 209.
