Patrick Catlin got the Birthday Blues! Patrick and wife, Sharon Catlin, are Scenic City Fishing regulars. But yesterday's trip (Dec. 4) was special because it was Patrick's Birthday. We always say that wintertime is a great time to catch a trophy cat so off we went - although I was a little worried. Because of rain and exceptionally high flows on the river, I had to hit some areas I haven't fished recently. But apparently the cats knew it was a special Birthday trip and were quite cooperative. Patrick and Sharon put 21 catfish in the boat. The Birthday Boy scored the biggest fish with a 48 lb. blue and a 43 lb. flathead. Sharon wasn't far behind with 34 and 30 lb. blues. I believe it was, indeed, a Happy Birthday!
