Bipods - Caldwell XLA vs Harris

If you value quality American made products then get the Harris. They are made right up in KY. I overtightened the screw that holds the bipod to my rifle. I called Harris and two days later they sent me the whole assembly free of charge.

Caldwell products are all made in China.

Yes the Harris is worth twice the price of the China crap.

I prefer to buy American products but besides that, what features make the Harris blow the Caldwell's outta the water? The reason I ask is because I've seen the Caldwell product, held it in my hand, and it seems pretty nice.

i have had a harris for 10-12 years, the only thing wrong with it is its not a swivel head, would buy another tomorrow if i lost mine today, quality is great

have 2 harris and 1 caldwell, all notched leg and swivel models.
After a CLOSE look, harris is made a little better. Personally i could grab the caldwell and never notice which one i was using.

Many seem to think the harris is leaps and bounds above the caldwell but mine are pretty close. Maybe i just got an exceptional caldwell.

Then like mentioned earlier the harris is made in the US and if you have a problem they will fix it. The caldwell was the first one i got before i heard of harris.

I have the Caldwell and they go up to 23in long and when i set down they are to short and not had a harris yet but fixen to order one seeing that the caldwell is only 2 months old and one leg is done warpt hope that helps by the way im 6'1"

I have two Harris. One for field shooting and one for bench. Best $ I ever spent. Everything else I have tried in terms of bench and field rests are not practical and dependable in comparison.

i have a caldwell and after several days of rounding my brain to get a harris i couldnt justify the $$ not saying there not worth it..but my caldwell is great i have it on a .243 no problems

No problems with my Caldwell, although, I am starting to try to make an effort to buy American everything. Doubt I would buy another Caldwell just for that reason, but.....it's up to you.
