Looking at taking my girls to Big sandy for the juvenile hunt is it worth the trip?

Big Sandy youth hunt (Oct. 3-4) is not the same dates as the statewide youth hunt (Oct 31/Nov 1). Big Sandy is a Federal National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), thus it operates under a different set of rules, dates, etc. It has been years since I hunted up there so I am not sure what the deer herd is like these days. Maybe some of the locals will chime in with some advice.

The earn-a-buck program and the EHD outbreak a few years ago has devastated the deer herd at Big Sandy.
