I dont care a thing about killing does, except with a bow,but my year in Perry county has got me to thinking,TWRA might want to look into a MICRO mngmt deal in Perry county.Im covered in does,we got 5 off my place, but I saw 30 or more just the other evening in a short ride.Any thought into making NE Perry county unit L?

Northern Perry County has a very high deer density (Lobelville area). However, I don't do any work in southern Perry County, so I have no knowledge about what's going on down there.

We need that kind of area specific management in a bad way. Course they dont want to do it because they are afraid some Joe will get confused with the regs. So instead we have regs that hurt your area by not allowing enough deer to be taken and regs that hurt my area by allowing to many. The thing is, Deer do not know county boundaries, only habitat, so why do we base our management decisions off of something that is man-made? Simplification sadly

rmbbq says his area,SE Perry county ,has a lower deer density than My place,NEPerry county

I'm right on The Western border. Over the river and it is Decatur county. FH hunter has what I call unit L property. Bordered up against a very large trac of public land might be part of the difference. He appears to be plumb loaded with does.

I say my density is a lot lower and I believe it is. I am guessing EHD wiped them out. They are rebounded fairly fast from what I can tell. I am getting good amounts of doe pics on my trail cameras. Not knowing what is best for the whole county I would say it isn't hurting leaving it in unit A. I love killing does but on my place I will spend more time with trail cameras before feeling good about whacking and stacking.

I have five clients with property from Lobelville north to the Humphreys County line, and all of them have deer densities exceeding anything I see in Humphreys County.
