Best vantage point for GoPro & other action cams

I took my GoPro on a few waterfowl hunts this past season. I got a few decent shots from the gun mount but certainly could do way better. The head mount shots were horrible because I couldn't tell which way the cam was pointing. I'm looking forward to trying it during turkey season.

For those that use GoPro's or any of the other action cams during hunting, what cam position has given you the best footage?

I havent used mine for hunting, but I have for fishing. I guess you have to ask yourself what you want to capture in the video, I have started to set mine up kind of behind me and to the side, I can catch myself and what I am doing in the video.....

Nice video. I have a few fishing videos with the cam mounted on my cap.

I've thought getting a second cam for turkey, one on the gun and one mounted on the ground towards my decoys.

I use the barrel mount from captureyourhunt.com and I use the head strap also for my gopro.

These where takin with the head strap mount. Just have to get it angled right for when looking down your barrel.
