I agree. I haven't seen any mature ones yet but have seen more 2 and 3 year olds running than I ever have

Bumper crop of acorns and proper seasonal temps from the 2nd week of November on will do that

I've seen cruising bucks even some three year olds but not the first chase in West TN. I expect that to happen any day now.

The rut can be hotter than ever on one farm and the worst ever just 2 farms over, all it takes is one hot doe to turn your farm into a mad house.

I quit shooting doe,s 7 years ago off of these farms the doe count had got way down. Now the doe count has come back to were you see 12 to 15 doe,s every time i go some times more. So to me leaving the doe,s alone has helped me see more rutting than just one hot doe that brought in 3 bucks one morning.Been seeing bucks chasing doe,s every since day one of muzzle loader and is still going on.

Best rut I have seen in my 35 plus years of hunting. Bucks locked down on does and others cruising looking for does. Been seeing 5 or 6 bucks each outing and see some of them several times during the day. No big deer yet mostly one and two and a half year olds with one or two three and half year old bucks. This is in obion county in west tn.

I've seen more rutting activity this year than I have in all my years hunting combined, and talked to a guy that's hunts very close and he had seen no sign at all, i guess the hot does decided to stay close to our farm this year it's the only thing i can think of.
