I have a TC triumph. I would love to get some solid groups out to 200 yards what is the best bet to get solid accuracy with out testing a lot of different bullets/powders..?

200 yards is a long shot with any non-smokless MZ. It's doable, but is going to require a lot of range time. Keep in mind you are looking at 12-15 inches of drop if zeroed at 100.

To answer your question, I use Barnes 245 gn Spitfire MZ bullets with 105 grains (by volume) of 777. That's a boattail bullet which, in theory, is better for longer ranges. I have killed a couple at 200 yds and practice that range every year.

Seems like most people have switched over to BH 209 powder at around 110 gns (volume). I just haven't made the switch.

PS, I'm shooting a TC Omega

I just shot my Encore yesterday to make sure it's still on. I have a Nikon 3-9X40 BDC scope mounted on it shooting a 250 grain Barnes Spit-Fire TEZ over 110 grains (volume) of Blackhorn 209. My gun likes this combo the best. It was still loaded from last season. I use the Nikon Spot On Ballistics website to calculate where the bullet will hit the bullseye at each marking on the BDC reticle using the calculated fps of that combination (2,000 fps). I have it sighted in dead on (crosshair) @ 100 yards. 1st shot yesterday was dead on at 100 yards. At 200 yards, it was dead on again using the designated circle in the reticle. So, I recommend this bullet/powder combination for your Triumph and I also highly recommend using the Nikon Spot On website.

I also have groups that do very well to 200 with barnes TEZ over 2 triple seven magnum pellets (120 grains) killed 9 point at 175 stone dead
