I got to thinking about it and I don't remember seeing a bee on any of my garden blooms this year. I've had bookoos of blooms but very little fruit. No cross pollination????? I wonder if using some type of bee pheromones on the plants might help in the future?

I must be lucky... I have tons of them... the whole garden is buzzing in the morning... I hope it approves for you guys soon.

Big problem in some areas is the Colony Collapse Disorder that strikes almost without warning. Your immediate vacinity may have suffered from it.

Try this: boil a cup of water and add a cup of sugar to it. Stir until it dissolves. Let cool and pour into ziplock. Take outside on a plate and with a razor, cut two or three short (2") slits in it. press down with your finger to make the syrup come out a bit. If you can set it where you can watch it all the better. Within a few hours, you should have bees making a beeline towards it. Best if you out it out first thing in the morning. They will suck it dry once they find it.

That'll tell you if you have bees in the area. It sounds like you don't but this'll be proof.
