Bandy Creek / Big South Fork

Anyone camped at Bandy Creek Campground in the Big South Fork National Recreation area lately? I haven't been there in years and was planning on setting up opening week.

Wish I could help you but it has been a few years since I camped there. As I remember, it was a nice campground.

What do you need to know? I havent camped there since I was little but I live fairly close and pass through alot.

I've camped there alot also,never in the actual camp ground but in the back country.You have to drive through the campground and go down Duncan Hollow Rd,we used to camp back there all the time with our horses,I deer hunt back there some.

I reserved a site in the A loop. Looked like D was pretty full and I'd prefer not to be in a group. Do they still have the shower houses?

Shower houses was still there and operational during memorial day.That was the last time I was up there riding horses.

Planning on hunting opening weekend of archery near home then heading there on Tuesday (29th) through Friday

Went over there yesterday and all looks good. I like the site that we will be in and can't wait to camp!It's too bad that the corn fields aren't there any longer though.
