I guess I was due. I have always lived somewhat of a charmed life and haven't experienced a lot of adversity. In past 2 weeks my dad blasted boat trailer has had two flat tires and a two broken wheel studs.
On the way to a Friday afternoon Dogfight on August 14 I had blowout about 18 miles from my house. Had to limp along a road with no shoulder until I could find a suitable place to change the tire.
This past Friday at 11M on my way back from the same tournament my boat trailer got real unsteady and I pulled over to have look and saw that two lug studs had broken off and the tire was wobbling. (New tires were put on that past Tuesday).
Got that fixed on Monday and thought all was well.
Tonight I took my son fishing 3 miles from the house. We had a great time and headed back home right at dark. Heck it's only 3 miles so what could go wrong? I hit a piece of scrap metal laying in the road and cut the side wall on one of the new tires. Went flat almost instantly. Thankfully I was almost home when it happened.
Come on hunting season, I can't take too much more fishing.
