went and shot with some old friends and a couple new ones,,private range out in the stix with a covered shelter 4 bench setup and 800 yard range,,targets at 100,300,600 and 800,,
shot my 6.5 at 800 first and got dialed in on 18 inch gong and made good hits on steel groundnog, then the praire dog,,and 4 in a row on 6 inch spinner,,
then I got my first try behind a BAT actioned 6BRX 10 twist with 90 gr Bergers,,shooting grade A eggs at 300 yards I hit 9 out of 10 shots,,
had an absolute ball shooting some very accurate rifles,,it is hard to believe how accurate these fast twist small cased rigs will shoot at ranges I used to think you had to shoot at least 7mm Mags or bigger,,I mean hitting PD sized targets 3 inches wide and 8 inches high at 800 yards only burning 33-40 grs of powder is mind boggling,,
no pics but I am hooked and will keep my 6.5 for longer range tactical type shooting but I may have to trade around into a single shot action and a 8 twist 6mm barrel and some Dasher dies,,for pure accuracy from 300-800 the Dasher or BRX is just so good it is hard to explain,,
