We ended up catching enough small bass for supper tonight and I caught a couple of kickers, the first one weighed 7.5 and the second was 7.4, both of we're put back

I had already cleaned two when I took the pic

I really wish more people would do exactly what you did. Keep a few bass from ponds!! Way too many people who bass fish ponds don't take out enough bass....or any for that matter. And then they wonder why their pond is full of 1/2-1 1/2lb bass!!!!!!

Definitely, I always like to keep a few to eat but I never keep one over 3 pounds, just a personal rule

I have the same rule. It kills me to see some gomer fillet a 6 pound bass.

I need to find a place to catch a few bass - don't have any in my pond yet, so I figure I'll transplant some.

Some nice fish you got there Scott - any good bass fishin out at the park?

Yea starting this year there is actually no limit on bass under 14" at lake lajoie, you can take some small plugs and get you all you need

Great looking bass!! They have been catching them that size on the Chick but I can't seem to get over 4 lbs on them. I never thought I'd see the day where I'd almost be complaining about catching only 4 pounders. lol

Awesome. I had a pond where the guy complained about the size not getting over 2 lbs. we caught 35 one day and like 25 the next. Should be better this year but he sold.
