How do you know which hunts have left-over permits and how do you go about getting one?

They'll go on sale at some point (dunno when exactly) and are first come first serve. Not many left unless you want to hunt Laurel Hill.

There are available permits for Cherokee wma. Is that Cherokee National Forest? I that it was open same as statewide season. Why do you need a permit?
