arrow speed

yeah I think you will lose a little bit of speed. I know you can shoot the same bow with a 27" bow and then someone shoot it at a 29" draw and it shoots alot faster.

hmmm, I shortened it an inch. It feels a little better, but I was just as accurate with it longer .I think I'll change it back.

Your choice, but I would HIGHLY recommend leaving it where it is at if that is where it feels best! The loss of 10-15 fps, is much less significant than you think--people get way to caught up with speed. It's accuracy that kills, not speed.

Never shoot a bow with too long of a draw length. I shot a 29" bow last year when my DL is 28"...amazing increase in accuracy with the change and more than enough speed to blow through a deer.

What is your KE of your set up with a shorter dl??

No specific numbers from me on KE, but I could notice that the arrow wasn't hitting the target as hard. I looked online at measuring and their method gave me a 27 1/2" dl. I then went by my archery shop, and their measurement put me at 29", so I am leaving it at my "re-set" 29" DL and shooting nice tight groups to 40yds.
