i have been making replica primitave arrows and atl-atl darts with foreshafts for several years for my own uses. i kind of got talked into selling them to other people a few months back along with a couple osage bows. anyhow, thought i would post a pic or two of them.

authentic arrowhead on rivercane arrow glued on with heated pine pitch glue and gut wrapped.

I realy need to learn how to make that.
I'm always forgetting my knife.
Had to gut one once with a piece of muscle shell.

That's some awesome work. You said you had recently been talked into selling some of them....how much would you sell one for made in the Cherokee style?

if you supply the arrowhead $25
if i flintknapp the arrowhead $10 extra
if i supply an authentic arrowhead, it depends on the value of the point. most supply their own authentic arrowhead.

+ shipping

That is very impressive.

For the guy who occasionally buys an authentic piece here and there, how can you tell the difference? Thanks

i guess the first thing would be fresh flaking scars but there is a lot of other things like flake patterns and mineral deposits. high end points need to have a certificate of authenticity to be sure
