Been spraying Permanone all season for ticks and chiggers and have pretty much not been bit yet. So my question is are they gone for the season in middle Tennessee? Just curious if I need to spray for opening weekend of muzzle loader.

Lol being 85 degrees they should be out for sure

Strangely I haven't got bit once in weeks, and haven't sprayed permethrin in weeks either. I don't know if I'm lucky or just not their favorite thing. Usually in September it's the worst. But I remember seeing ticks on a warm December day. The winter doesn't kill em, just puts em to sleep.

In this weather ticks will be crawling on a carcass hanging in the shade or a deer in the truck bed within an hour of the critter hitting the dirt. They're nowhere near dead and will be looking for a new host so check yourself.

Only ticks I've seen is a few on my ole lab. I haven't sprayed myself in weeks, but I'm going to come Saturday.

I'm usually a magnet for them, but strangly, I havent seen any in a while. I was hopng maybe they all dehydrated to death.

I've been able to bowhunt 6 times so far, and haven't seen a single tick. I think they're still there, but just low numbers this year. Don't bode well for next year!

Can't say that I'll miss those tiggers but I really hate to see the chicks go, lol.

That is not a dyslexic, misspelling. My buddy and I have always called them "Chicks and Tiggers".
